About the project:

The project aims to revolutionize geosensor technology for the continuous monitoring of unstable terrain and artificial structures. The ALARMslide will propel innovation in the field of geodetic monitoring, by developing an Artificial Intelligence (AI)/ Internet of Things (IoT)-based geosensor system for real-time monitoring of landslides. The system will also consist of a platform to collect, analyze, and visualize data. The geosensor is designed to be easy to use, cost-efficient, and will provide high-precision data in real time. Montenegro will receive a real-time state-of-the-art system for real-time response and therefore prevent infrastructure damages and loss of lives.

The project goals are to:

Develop cutting-edge geosensor technology for continuous monitoring of landslides and artificial structures

Use current findings in AI and IoT for autonomous decision-making and on-time reactions

Provide a user-friendly data management platform with early warning functionality

Become the first technology provider for real-time geodetic monitoring in the region

  

Small movements in artificial structures or terrain may seem harmless, but in the case of too much movement and deformations, the function of an artificial structure may be compromised.

Implementation approach:

Revision of ALARMslide system’s hardware components and their preparation for large-scale production

Validation of the developed system on the field

Data platform elements fine-tuning and extending their functionalities by developing AI-based decision support module

Certification of the solution

The ALARMslide solution will address major pain points of the existing geodetic monitoring services.
